Over the course of my 25 years (and counting) as a professional, I have had the fortune of taking in multiple industry perspectives. From Aviation and Aerospace, to Energy, to Steel Manufacturing, there are so many commonalities despite the obvious differences. At the core of all industries are people, and if we do not pay attention to what people need to perform the tasks we set before them, we are doomed to fail. This failure may not be the insolvency of a business, but a failure to create a functional, cohesive environment that produces more waste than viable product. Giving people the right plan, path, and perspective will set up your employees and business for continuous success, which is my highest priority. Always strive to be better.
